If I really had to choose what I’d have liked to be, it’s a musician. I am one. I’ve got my band in London, called The Pyke Circuit. We play heavy post-punk, very British in spirit. But we’re an indie band, the kind that has to drag friends and family along every time we play. There’s always someone who promises they’ll come again, that they loved it, that we should play more gigs. They never do.

Still, that doesn’t stop me. I’ve been in bands for over 25 years. I started out playing metal in Argentina, had several bands, recorded three albums with my band Injuria, and toured all over the country, as well as Bolivia and Uruguay. A pretty wonderful way of travelling with your mates.

These are some of the pieces I’ve worked on over the years, the ones I’m most fond of: Tolar, Rare, Atom by Atom. And there’s my music too, for anyone brave enough to give it a listen and, who knows, maybe even come and see us live one day.

Worth saying I’m the drummer, and I do backing vocals. Or shouting behind the singer, as I like to call it.
Later on, when I moved to Spain, I sort of reinvented myself as a musician and joined the indie band Dubita Canova with one of my best friends. We played all over Spain, did a couple of festivals, and recorded a very homemade album.

Then I moved to London, where I first formed Atom by Atom and later The Pyke Circuit. That’s when I fully leaned into the kind of music I enjoy playing the most. Something a bit heavy, sometimes punk, sometimes melodic, sometimes in 3/4, always slightly odd but also oddly classic.

On top of that, I’ve always loved designing album covers, which is another one of those half-frustrated dreams. Hipgnosis, Peter Saville, Stanley Donwood, Santiago Motorizado. People I admire for their versatility and their unmistakable style. I envy them a little, I won’t lie. But they’re also a constant push and a big inspiration to keep making covers, and to bring together two of the things I love most: designing and playing music.
